Committees

Membership Committee
Co-Chairs: Kathy Goodman & Milli Mann
The membership committee meets and greets new members at monthly membership meetings. Committee members introduce new members and make them feel welcome. In addition to their role during membership meetings the committee also sends birthday and support cards, maintain our gift bag (for birthdays and special milestones), and tracks surgery and other important dates.

Communications Committee

Chair: Janice Moore
The communications committee keeps web site content updated as needed (no technical knowledge needed). The committee also creates and distributes a membership email newsletter.

Volunteer Committee

Chair: Shelby Jenkins
The volunteer committee maintains a pool of potential volunteers (including both CBF members and non-members); recruits volunteers for fundraising and other events as needed; and schedules volunteers at events.

Outreach Committee
Chair: Janet Ligon
The outreach committee will coordinate production of comfort bags and inspiration jars, distribute comfort bags and jars to local hospitals and doctor’s offices, distribute pink information cards in local doctor’s offices and hospitals, maintain a list of doctor’s offices that are willing to distribute outreach materials, replenish all materials as needed (track supply needs), and keep communication lines open with CMC and Presbyterian representatives.
