About the event
A link for this Session will be provided in your RSVP email confirmation.
Yoga gives new hope for cancer patients. Several recently published medical studies are offering hope to people suffering and recovering from cancer to use yoga as part of their therapy. The new studies support the conclusion that various types of yoga are effective in improving the quality of life, emotional well-being, fatigue, and stress for cancer patients and breast cancer Survivors.
This class is open to Survivors, Thrivers and Co-Survivors.
Instructor Bio:
April S. Davis, RN, MSN, CNE, IP received her yoga training in Charlotte, NC through Chrys Kub with the Charlotte Yoga Club Holistic Therapy Institute and has been teaching as a yoga instructor for 6 years. She started volunteering at the Pink House in September 2014 and has also been teaching at her local YMCA in Fort Mill, SC since that time. April loves teaching yoga at the Pink House and says that each experience is precious. It allows her to share what yoga therapy is all about with the breast cancer Survivors in her class. She dedicates each session to a particular yoga concept, connecting gently movement with breathwork to ease tension and anxiety and help Survivors use yoga as a tool for self-healing.
