"The work [Carolina Breast Friends] does is truly inspiring... Our community is so fortunate to have such an amazing organization. I feel honored to be a part of it."
Ginger Seabrook is a volunteer that's helping us with... well... volunteers. Earlier this year Ginger raised her hand as someone who could help coordinate and track sign-up opportunities for volunteers. Since then, she has been making sure we have enough volunteers to help with the many sessions and activities that keep bustling along for the Survivors & Thrivers we serve.
Says Ginger, "An old friend invited me to come to The Pink House and learn about its mission and the opportunity to serve on CBF's development committee. I was immediately impressed with the passion CBF has for serving those affected by breast cancer in our community."
With that, Ginger immediately started volunteering--not just with organizing other volunteers, but also with tasks that help us support those affected with breast cancer in every part of their journey. She shares, "I've enjoyed several different ways of helping. Assembling comfort bags, hosting a benefit jewelry party and participating with CBF in a local 5k are some of the things I've been involved in so far." She's also helping out with CBF's Wiggin Out campaign and signature fundraiser to take place later this year.
So if you're interested in volunteering to help out at The Pink House, with day-to-day activities or at one of our upcoming events or Survivor/Thriver sessions, you may end up getting to know Ginger for yourself. We're sure that, like us, you'll enjoy her warm energy and generous spirit.
